Process Details of a DatasetTo view details of a dataset, click on the view option of the dataset in the search result (UPR, LCI, or LCIA), or, if you have already selected the dataset for download, click on the view-link in the list of datasets contained in the download-basket (see below). Details of a dataset can be viewed for processes, elementary flows and impact assessment method. The dataset information is subdivided in several sections, namely "Table of content", "Meta information", "Exchanges", and "Allocations" (in multioutput datasets only). Links are available to go to the respective section of the dataset. The exchanges of a dataset are postioned in the bottom section of process-datasets and LCIA-methods. Firstly, only the category names are shown, each with a + sign on their left. By clicking on the + sign of a category, all elementary flows of this category are shown. The + sign turns to a – sign. The elementary flows are grouped alphabetically by their category and name. All substances of a category with the same name but different subcategory are thus reported in sequence. The display of elementary flows can be collapsed by clicking on the – sign. "Expand all" and "Collapse all" applies the respective action to all categories with one mouse click. Please note: After downloading the datasets, their content can be viewed offline in the same manner using MS Excel (Excel 97 with Service Pack 2 or higher version) and a macro. See Use of Datasets for more details. The details of the dataset are structured according to the EcoSpold format. Please refer to the official documentation of this format available as html-file or for Download on the Documents page. The documentation contains an explanation of all data fields with their IDs and designations. It also describes the permitted values for the fields and if an entry is mandatory or not. For all questions concerning the EcoSpold data format, please contact the ecoinvent support. The process details consist of two main sections: meta information (can be viewed by "Guests" and "Members") and the actual flow data (can be viewed by "Members" only). The items may vary, depending on the type of dataset (process, elementary flow or impact assessment method). The following table gives an overview of the meta information section of a process dataset:
