Active Members

Agroscope

Agroscope is the Swiss centre of excellence for agricultural research, affiliated with the Federal Office for Agriculture. Agroscope researches along the entire value chain of the agriculture and the food sector. It is subordinate to the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research.

Empa

Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (German: Eidgenössische Materialprüfungs- und Forschungsanstalt), Empa, is an interdisciplinary research institute for materials science and technology. It forms part of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH) Domain, located close to the city of Zürich.

EPF Lausanne

École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is one of two technical and science universities in Switzerland, which form an integral part of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH) Domain. As such it is directly subordinate to the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research.

ETH Zürich

Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zürich is a university specialised in natural sciences and engineering, located in the city of Zürich, Switzerland. It is one of two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology under the ETH Domain, and directly subordinate to the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research.

PSI

The Paul Scherrer Institute is the largest research centre for natural sciences and engineering in Switzerland and belongs to the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH) Domain. It is located in Villigen, Switzerland.

Passive Member

CIRAIG

The passive member CIRAIG is an internationally acclaimed centre of expertise in life cycle issues based at Polytechnique Montréal, Canada. Ecoinvent and CIRAIG have been partnering since 2011 to fully integrate a Québec database into ecoinvent version 3, including over 700 datasets especially for Québec, Canada as well as data on metals, dairy products and soy derivatives completely new to ecoinvent.
